Three bedrooms are located on the second floor. Each is named for a prominent ship that used to frequent Muskegon harbor in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The ALABAMA ROOM is the largest bedroom. It features:

- a queen-size sleigh bed

- large closet

- antique dresser

- comfortable chair

- adjoining full bathroom


The LYMAN M. DAVIS ROOM is the mid-sized bedroom. It features:

- a queen-size sleigh bed

- walk-in closet

- antique dresser

- comfortable chairs

- adjoining half-bath (sink and toilet)

- a full-size brass bed

- walk-in closet

- antique dresser

- comfortable rocking chair

- full view of the garden


All rooms are air conditioned.

The spacious upstairs bathroom features the original tile and fixtures, including a claw-foot tub, separate shower, and pedestal sink. Guests are also welcome to use the full bath with jacuzzi located on the main floor. Luxurious bathrobes are provided for the comfort of guests.

Morning or evening, guests at Langeland House are treated to a quiet, relaxed setting and the comforts of home. For the guest's enjoyment, we provide the following:

- Bed pillows for late-night readers who like to cozy up in bed with a good book

- Evening snack of milk, cookies and graham crackers

- Wake-up service, including a tray with your first cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate delivered to your room at your requested time.

- Full breakfast served in the elegant dining room;

or A light continental breakfast served on the porch (seasonal)

- Daily newspapers (Detroit Free Press and Muskegon Chronicle)

- Beach towels

- A wide variety of popular games (including chess and checkers), challenging jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and videos are available in our library/media room.


- Open year-round

- No pets allowed

- Smoke-free environment

- Not wheelchair accessible

- Children under twelve are discouraged because the premises are not child-safe.

IndySince the passing of the greyhound Frigate, Langeland House's new official greeter is a retired seeing-eye dog named Indy. She is a very friendly yellow Lab who will give you a warm welcome -- maybe with a smile!
